i found some really nice lookin pieces of driftwood on ebay i was wondering which 1 would u guys get, #1, #2 or #3? this is going into my peacock bass tank, also whats the best way to get them clean and keep the tannis from dirtying the water.

they're all nice. I'd rank them in this order: 3,1,2. if you dont want to get your water dirty, just soak them in a bucket of water for a few days/weeks to get the tannins out before going in your tank
 
1.

It's hard to say how long driftwood will leach tannins into the water. Sometimes it's only a couple weeks, sometimes it's a couple years. Fresh carbon in the filter will help to remove them from the water, though.
 
I use my pond waterfall to leach out the tannins in wood prior to putting in my tank. 4500 gph for a few weeks and never have any leaching afterwards.
 
3, 1, 2. Just careful with those sharp edges, or you'll have blind or impaled pbass!

Also, change the water everyday in the bucket/tub. It will get lighter and lighter. Once it's almost clear drop it in the tank....
