ya i didnt think it would help that much either but it really did i was amazed this is a picture on someone elses tank that had carbon in the filter and it was tea colored so they added this stuff and you can see how much clearer it is plus this is a good jornal to read if you going for a fully planted tank.

I ordered some . Its rated for 100 gallons for 6 months thus I imagine in a 90 gallon pond with lots tannic acid it should last about 2/3 months it was cheap enough so will simply replace it when exhausted if it works.
Thanks

i had a huge brown water problem as well and i used Purigen instead of carbon and it works awsome not only does it suck up alot more of the brown but you can recharge it. you can find out more about it at the seachem site. but i would highly highly recomend this product. (o be sure to read the warning label caz it says it will become toxic if used with some slime coat type products)

Thanks a million that stuff is great I started to use it yesterday and now 12 hours later huge difference the water went from dark brown to real light brown but I can see bottom of pond which couldnt before I Imagine it will be clear later on amazing stuff again thanks a lot

the only bad thing is the first time you use it if your water was really brown you may need to recharge it sooner then what is recomended. but other then that its great stuff.

Its 9 pieces of wood from 2 feet to 3 feet here are some when I was planning to save them in plastic bin with water to let tannic acids leach out than opted to just get more wood and start cichlid pond.

Either way driftwood is driftwood lol but here are some pieces all are now in the pond (90 gallon plastic pond)

Yes its cheap enough so will change it when water begins to turn brown its now a very light "yellow" as wood keeps on leaching tannic acid and have like 9 pieces of it but it works great .
I put it in mesh bag in small canister filter thats hooked up to it

Thanks
