hey, im going to the beach tomorow to pick up some driftwood for a 55 gal aquarium. im setting the tank up as a mangrove, with most of the driftwood above the waterline. how should i prepare the wood for use? i dont want to introduce any parasites.
I would boil and/or bake it. This should help to remove things living in/on the wood, and also hopefully any harmful chemicals that could be in the wood
