evedently grapevine wood sucks for ponds huh?the tannins come out and the fish didnt seem to like that at all.DOes that mess with the oxygen too?I dont have a pump in this tub yet,I was told I wouldnt need one with just a handfull of comets and some misquito fish, was the grapeving the problem?Water was turning brown.

Brown water = Tannins from the wood.

Just keep up w/ WC's.

Tannins will not interfere with the oxygen. I'd allow surface movements considering the number of fish you have. Goldfish are large oxygen consumers.

How many gals. is the pond?

Goldfish love well oxygenated water...

How are the goldfish reacting to the situation, Jason? What are your pH and KH there? You could simply remove the wood if it is causing issues. A 200g tub should not be an issue for at least 10 comets especially as you have plenty of plants to keep the air, food and water quality under control.

I took the wood out right away because the fish were croaking, not like frogs either,so I took it out and did a water change and things got great until now with the green water, think the swamp thing is living in thier,i cant see through it good enough, afraid while Im looking the swamp thing is going to reach out and grab my throat.

How much water did you change?

maybe a 3rd,that was for the brown tannin water and to get new oxygenated water in fast because the fish were all gasping, now in the other thread Im dealing with the green water.
