Hello all,

I am wondering how to remove saltwater from a piece of driftwood. Well several pieces. My mother just brought me some back from her vacation and I want to use some of it in my freshwater tanks... any advice or tips from your experiences?

I'll wait for the advice to roll in:popcorn:

I brought some back from Santa Bell Island, Fl a couple years ago. I soaked it in a bucket for about a month. I changed about once a week when I noticed it getting darker. After around a month the water it was in looked ok so I put it in my 75 gallon. I never had any problems with it. Not sure if this is the right way or not, but it worked for me. Not sure, but boiling it might disolve out the salts in it and work for you as well.
