Hello all! I'm currently Making a sump for my new tank. I'm adding the baffles and am drilling holes to allow the water through but not my k1 media. Question is does anyone have a chart about how much flow can go through smaller drilled holes like 2mm, 4mm, 6mm etc... any help would be welcome thanks!

What is your plane of attack flow wise threw the chambers with the flow path and flow rate of your pump? I have done it a few different ways.
I drilled 8mm holes when I did mine but I drilled about 600 holes (not kidding) it worked great, cut slots with a circular saw which worked great as well, right now I have foam top and bottom on my chambers to hold in the k1.

I used black matala and it didn’t work with K1 micro. It works fine for normal K1 though. I swapped it out for the grey matala (dense) which I like even better and its a perfect fit. Adds a ton of surface area too since it’s the biological matala pad.

So plan is in through 2 filter socks. Through 50l of k1 then a baffle. Through another section which I haven't decided what to fill with yet. Then through the last baffle and into pump chamber!
