Alright, I'm looking to setup my 55 gallon with a sump filter... Are there any how-to's on how to drill it? I'd appreciate and help and tips...

Just keep a light touch at the point of punch out. Also keep water on the bit to cool it and the glass. You also should frequently clean out the groove. And to not run the drill super fast (you don't want heat to buid up in the glass otherwise it will stress crack).
