Would a standard 125 gallon tank be able to be drilled? I'm not sure if they made them out of tempered glass. I know 55's are made of tempered. Would the glass shop be able to tell me if its able to be drilled or not? I might be able to get a 125 setup for 100 bucks and I would like to set up a sump on it. If not I could always throw on a few AC 110s.

I found a 125 oceanic from lfs used. the owner and I drilled it. The whole process took about 25 minutes. I have a 1" drain and two 3/4" returns.
I'm not sure on the diamond drill bit size. I think the drain is 1 3/4" and the returns were 1 1/2" not 100% sure on those. The glass shop should be able to tell right away if its tempered or not. There is an old wise tale of if you have polarized sun glasses and take the tank out in sunlight normal glass is just see through and tempered glass has some spiderwebbing effect.

I don't know if that helps at all.
