drilling a tank?

sorry if i posted in the wrong forum. my lfs charges $20 to drill a tank. is that too much?

Nope, not at all.

$20 seem fair but its a hassle to move bring the tank back and forth if its a heavy tank. I personally drill mine, you just need to get a drill bit. If you only need 1 hole drill then mind just let lfs drill it.

Never done it personally but seen videos on youtube concerning drilling a tank. They suggest molding plumbers putty into a long snake like shape. Then, use the putty snake to encircle the area to be drilled and fill with water to prevent over heating.
