I have a 90 gallon acrylic tank that i want to drill for overflows. It is a store bought tanks. It is about an 1/8 inch thick. I want to drill the holes in the bottom and build overflows around them in the corners. Would this be safe to do? Or would it hurt the strength of the tank? If not what kind of drill bit should i use?

Use a hole saw that is intended for wood. Keep the bit moving slow and add a little water to keep the acrylic cool. Of course, with 1/8", you don't have much to go through. Just keep is slow and steady. Pushing too hard or forcing the issue will crack the tank.
