Drilling fiberglass pentair tank

Does anyone have any experience with drilling a fiberglass tank?

i bought one from pentair 270.

My plywood tank is beginning to fall apart - lessons learned...

Please help :D

Properly sized holesaw on a portable drill should work just fine. I used the same bits from Lowes on wood, acrylic, fiberglass, etc. There are holesaws advertised especially for fiberglass but I believe they are just higher quality carbide bits. If you are careful there's no reason you can't get plenty of clean holes out of the cheaper standard bits.
 
+1… regular small tooth hole saw bits for acrylic and wood work just fine for fiberglass. I prefer the small tooth bits with multiple teeth but the style with 3 larger teeth can also work, just not as clean and more prone to cracking. Ive used both styles in a pinch.
