Hello...

I am kinda new to this hobby.
i use to keep fish a couple of years back.
but i had to get rid of them.
but now i have gotten my grasp for fish again and became kinda obsessed! (:
Anway... I got a 'Juwel Trigon 190' for Christmas...
It hasn't arived yet shouldnt be too long tho..
Shipping to where i stay is hard! :L

and i am planning on keeping freshwater fish.
but i want to bulid a sump for this tank...
my old tank i have is a 'Juwel Rekord 70' It Holds 70 l, And Has An Internal Filter which i have head is easy to remove if needed.
The thing is when the corner tank is us against the wall i wont be able to have pipes coming from the sides.
So instead i could drill a hole in the bottom of the tank and put a pipe right up to the top of the tank and have it be dranned by a 'T-Pipe' ?

The return pipe will easily go up between the narrow gap and go in through the hole in the lid for the cables!
But most tank bottoms are ment to be made of tempered glass and it is impossible to drill!

I hope you are getting my drift cos im somewhat lost in my rabeling... ):
Much Help Is Appreciated, Thaaaanks! :D

You can't make room for 1" PVC pipes at the back or side? Honestly you should keep a bit of space around your tank, or atleast the back. It would be much easier to have the stand moved out an inch or 2 compared to drilling the bottom, which you should have experience with before ever attempting a nice large tank.

Or pay a glass shop. Myself I would move the stand out a tad.

Oh Right
Thanks! :)
Well...
If i could get somewhere to drill it for me where do you recon i drill it?
cos i could drill the bottom and bring the pipe up through the stand and up through the tank...
but sounds a lot of hassel!
Any other ideas?

search for the diy pvc overflows...

Unless you have overflow boxes installed into the tank, they can look quite unsightly in a brand new tank.

I would move it out from the wall a couple of inches and run the pipes behind the tank.
