This is going to be kind of rough to explain so hang in there. My tank is in the basement below ground level so I can't really install an auto drip system that drains outside. Here's the idea....
im thinking about tapping a 1/4 line into my return piping just after the pump and pumping the water outside, ill have a drip emitter and possibly a needle valve to regulate the flow. In the sump I already have a float valve to refill the tank as needed. Simple explanation is a reverse drip system I guess? Looking for opinions on pros and cons? I don't see why it wouldn't work and when the power goes off my water wont keep running compared to the normal drip system...
I would like to send fish water out to the garden or lawn instead of right down the drain if possible. Also I have a window right next to my tank and the closest drain in the basement is 25ft away
Ideas or comments would be great thanks! Here's a picture of the setup and window height

Water only needs to fall a 1/4" per foot (Checked with a plumber) so getting to the drain only needs about 6inches. That way it would not need a pump and you would never overflow anything because it would just be gravity fed drain. So far looking at everything I am planning just a gallon per hour actually doing 2 half gallon per hour emitters so have even flow on both ends of the tank. With your sump setup I think you could have a drain on the sump at 15inches or so very easy.
