enid, ok
im wanting to put a drip auto water change system on my new 600 gal tank with a 4gph drip, anyone know if there is an inline filter or something i can use to remove chlorine from the tap water before it reches the drip nozzle?

I don't have any experience with drip auto water changers (but I do want one in the future when I go MONSTER!!), but a lot of people don't worry about the chlorine in drip systems because their flow is so slow and the tank is so large that the chlorine is greatly diluted and evaporates before accumulating. I would see what your chlorine concentration is out of the tap and calculate the concentration if you do nothing to remove chlorine - also testing how long it takes to evaporate out. Also, just to mention if you have chloramines this would not work because those do not evaporate out of the water so the concentration would continually increase.

Go to your hardware store and buy the proper filter for what you need. Better be safe then sorry.

place a 1 micron sediment filter, granular carbon filter, and a carbon block filter should remove anything you wouldnt like in your tank.

This is what I am using. Do you have just chlorine or chloramines in your water? That is a very important thing to know when selecting a filter. I only have chlorine. http://thefilterguys.biz/ro_systems.htm is where you want to look.Great customer service (guy named Jim). I will do a write up on my drip system for my 300g/125g once I get rid of the overflow trapping air issue sorted out... :irked:
