I got a pair of 5x7/6x8 speakers that fit ford and mazda vehicles. These are Premium Boston Acoustics 2 way speakers, model number nx87 I boguht these about a year ago, and spent an extra $30 on a 3 year "blow them if you can" warranty, which will replace speakers no questions asked. I still have the insurance paperwork and will gladly sign it over to you. The warranty ends in 2009. These speakers have neodymium Rare earth magnets on the woofer and the Kortec tweeter, and have a built in frequency crossover. The outer is polypropylene rubber, not cheap foam. I will do 70 shipped.
you MUST put these speakers in your doors/front to appreciate the sound quality they provide. They sound great on a 50W x4 deck But I wouldnt hesitate to hook them to a 300 watt 4 channel amp, runnin 75 RMS ...I sold my truck without these, heres your chance on a hell of a deal backed by a warranty
