For a silver, what is the smallest size (length wise) that they could develop DE? I currently have 2 small ones. One is about 5 inches and the other about 6-7 inches. Looks like the bigger of the two is starting to develop DE in it's right eye. Thanks.

It could start as small as yours or as big as 2ft. Ive seen some messed up 10inch aros with DE/PLJ seriously messed up. But yea it could start to develope DE anytime.

:iagree: My current silver started to develop DE in it's right eye at around 9 inches or so after slamming his face into the top center brace of my tank from being startled by my Oscar.

Are all Aro's suseptible to DE or is it only certain species?
All aros can get DE, but Silvers are much more susceptible than others.

it happens in the wild as well, both of my silvers have dropped eye on the right,They are 30 inches and 27 inches.one got drop eye when he was young and one got drop eye when he was older.I have a 24 inch black with no d/e so far

Mainly silvers, a few asians. Jars very rare, and have never heard of or seen in Blacks, leis, or africans.
