Hi Gang!
I joined up a while back, but I mod on several other froums (not photography though) and have been having time constrant problems getting back here.
Been browsing the site and I like what I see so far!
I am going to need some help with RAW processing as I am new to that.
Along with land photgraphy I also take pics underwater and have a new D200 and a Sea & Sea U/W housing to go to Lake Malawi this year, which is a big upgrade from previous years!
Will catch up to some of you in the threads.

Cheers,Larry

Welcome to APF, Larry. I'm sure we'll be able to help you with RAW - there's not much point in getting a D200 and then shooting jpgs.

Welcome, Larry!
Yeah, these underwater shots sound like quite curious and definitely will take our attention…
Cheers

Yes,U/W photography was what really got me going on this subject. My first camera was a Sony DSC-P1 3.3mp back in 2001,,,wasn't the best at the time, but it was the only one that I could get an U/W housing for.
Over the years since,I have put together quite a few Power Point speaking engagments and had great success with them, the pics were enjoyed by all.
On my last trip the guys kept goading me into getting a new camera, that I had the shooting skills but the quality was not good enough,,,,OK good enough for a Magazine article and a couple shots in an upcoming book,,,but I knew what they were talking about.
So,they kept it up all trip until I finally said YOU talk to my wife,,,LOL!!!!!!!!
Well,I left my equipment back at where I go yearly to dive and make room/luggage space for my new equipment that's going this year.
So I'm really looking forward to taking and sharing some great pics here with you guys!
The new camera is a lot more complicated and I'm not doing to bad with it so far,but I figured joining here and reading and asking a few questions and picking up a few tips, that I could short cut a lot of errors!

Cheers,Larry
