I got my flowerhorn 2 months ago and he was very healthy. About 5 days ago he started spitting up his food more than usual. This was the same day I fed him fresh shrimp since the breeder had him. I also got a female flowerhorn for him to breed with this day. He has been spitting up his food more than usual and his stomach seems bigger lately. Is this dropsy? Is there even anything wrong?. Also the are some weird marks on his gill plate then may be nothing and I may be noticing them because I am actually really inspecting the fish. There is definitely something wrong with the fish internal and it looks like bloating stomach to me.

I used seachem metronidazole for mine when he first got it from the bloodworm and there is no affect on breeding at all. There is also a medicine call Clear, but you have to inject it to the fish stomach.
