I would like to know your preference and why

i am currently using tester drops and dont feel i am getting and acurate reading
i used to use the test strips and felt they were easier to read

just wondering what you all think on this

maybe im just reading the drops wrong haha

thanks

Drops. Strips are useless

drops. i suggest api master test kit. cheapest place ive found them is walmart.com believe it or not. but ya strips are junk.

I prefer drops > strips, they just seem to be more accurate in comparison...

Get the drops. Most will say API Freshwater Kit. I totally agree. I have bought two so far. Worth every penny. Some say the Nitrate test is hard to tell from different PPM levels. But in all reality if it looks like your nitrate is dark enough to warrant a WC then just do the WC. People hassle if it says 20 or 40ppm when they should just do the WC to begin with or take the test before WC then after then compare.

yea i bought the api master kit just wanted to make sure it was a good investment

the only problem is its hard to tell what color the test water is :(

API is good stuff, I use Tetra test kit atm but will be going back to API. How are you reading? You need to hold the tube against the white background of the test card in a well lit area.

Try going outside in the sunlight or get close to a light to tell. Which ones are you having problems with?
