Dropsy

Hey everyone. I was wondering if only goldfish get dropsy? I hae a comet about 6inches and he had dropsy with all his scales sticking out. He got better after meds but was wondering if other fish get dropsy. I've never heard of other fish get dropsy. The Doctor
