Hi so I was given a tank by a friend and it has a pleco and I’m not sure if it has dropsy, it has its plates sticking out and looks bloated, if you look closely you’ll see the plates sticking out near his rear end
Neat. I hope I don’t have to do that with any fish I care for. I inherited about 300 guppies with my 180 when I picked it up and most had dropsy- that’s how I found out about it. Lol. We won’t talk about how I cured them
Ive only ever had a single fish get dropsy and kept thinking it would heal up through treatment and clean water. I wish I would've euthanized it way sooner before it passed away because of how bloated it got along with popped eyes and septicemia. The poor thing definitely suffered.
