Very much south..
Guys woke up this morning to a very dry Gar on the floor. Dry and with loads of **** glued to it ( the stuff that collects on a fish room floor is disgusting )..anyway he mooved a little when I picked him up so straight back in he went...

he is starting to swim but his eyes are still grey and without shine /brilliance ( could he be blind ? ).

He is 10" and jumped through a very tight opening ( again my mistake )...

We really need to be alert!

The opening was teher because of water between lids that creates a suction efect between sheets of glass. So I was closing the lid in the front, and that lid was pulling opebn the sheet of glass in the back. Normally I am aware of it and put it back in place. Yesterday must have been distracted....:(

Update: Went in to check. He will most definitely make it through.. is swimming in a coordinated maner already...

you could add some melafix or salt to make sure it has no scale or fungal problems he could develop. Swimming is a good thing, getting some oxygen into the gills.

done that. Thank you.

Monster is eating!?!?!?

Theres nothing that gets the heart pounding more than finding a fish out of water... ( well mabe a couple of things ). My tank is in the den and the gar was on the kitchen floor... Just a few feet away. He survived, he broke the very end of his nose. Luckly hes doing fine now..

Thank you guys. This time it ended ok...
