Howdy,

What do you all feed your electrical knives? Mine (Sternopygus macrurus) is beefing up on eathworms and shrimp, but I would like to switch it to dry food sooner rather than later. If you have your electrical knife on pellets or something, I'd appreciate info on manufacturer and type, and how willingly they accepted it when you introduced it.

Thanks a bunch,
HarleyK

My BGK mainly eats frozen but also has a fondness for shrimp pellets. Have seen him chew on the occassional algae crisp too. The shrimp pellets are Top Fin because I had it and was actually putting it in for some cats and the knife suddenly came out and started sucking them down.

What knife is that, looks cool.

I bolded it for you - LOL

Thanks all, keep it coming :)

Soft-Sinking Krill Pellets..

TopFin just came out with a nice generic soft sinking krill pellet.. but its only displayed in the marine section. Look closely :D

Also freeze-dried krill and the ring works best..

peace :D

Ditto on freeze dried tubifex. I started my carapo knife on them by sticking the cubical on the end of a blunt wire and dangling them in front of him. Probably faked him out into thinking it was live food that way. He didn't hesitate to snap it up the very first time I tried that.

Electric knive? You mean this is one of those fishes that can shock with electricity? Hmmm, i did not imagine it looking like this. If it is so, how do you clean the tank, change water?
