Anyone good at either?
I am probably only a few days away from finishing my monitor enclosure, and my next project i want to do is basically build a wall in my garage, to make it an enclosed room for me, where you walk out in the garage and be a wall about 6 feet in front of you. Only question is, does anyone know how i should approach this? and after i get it going how do you insulate and do drywall? Do i just stick the insulation inbetween the beams and then screw the drywall over it?

then after all that is done, I want to build a standard 750 gallon plywood/ fiberglass tank in the garage...

this is what I am planning in the next few months..

That is pretty much how you insulate. I used the 2" thick styro in the basement. Shoudl keep the heat in well. Drywall is simple until you get to finishing. Is too difficult, just a pain in the butt when sanding. Just make sure to use Green board if the environment is going to be moist.

alright, so insulating easy, drywall ehh, sanding for get about it.. lol

souonds good

Yeah, insulation is pretty cut and dry.

taping and mudding isnt that hard. Just get a 10" knife and spread a smooth coat over the fiberglass tape. Sand the edges and reapply as needed. Just dont sand back into the tape or ur gonna have to put yet another coat on. Taking ur time is really the only thing that gets me mad. I love doing corner bead though, so easy:drool:
