DSLR Camera... OC CA... local or online

hey everyone, i'm looking into getting my first dslr camera. i've narrowed them down the Nikon D40 or the Canon Xti (both discontinued)...

i know i recently missed a huge clearout sale at Target on the D40, but does anyone here know where else they might have a good sale/deal on one of these cameras?

Costco, if you're member there, or go to Sears and show them the ad. Sears will price match

B&H photo is agreat place to deal with as well...

I have never used a Nikon before (I am also pretty bias cause of it as well)-But I use the XTI and for a beginner camera it is very user friendly......Plethra of interchangeable lenses as ell-Extra's(flash wireless trigger.filters,etc,etc) are also cheap for it........

thanks... i'm kicking myself in the *** cuz target had the nikon D40 for $350 so anything over $400 seems pricy to me haha

i'll probably end up forking out some money for the Xti since its a better camera...

but in case anyone has something, LMK.

$350 was just for body only, no lens, so it would cost you the same if not more
