Hope no one has a problem with me posting this here. So I finally have the money for a camera. After some research I thought I wanted a nikon d5200. But I stumbled across the Pentax k-500.
the majority of my photos will consist of my animals. i would to take pictures like this: http://www.brentsmith-photography.co...gentimaculatus MOST of my photos will consist of this.
Of coarse I want to get some filming done too! The filming will consist of "action" sports haha.
ultimately though, photos are the main reason i am purchasing the camera. if some of the filming quality is lost but the photo quality is increased ill choose the camera better for photos.
I would like to stay in the 600-700 dollar price range.
my main source of information has been snapsort.com. i think i have narrowed it down between a pentax k-500 and nikon d5200. Unless there is something better.
Here is the comparison that site has. http://snapsort.com/compare/Nikon-D5200-vs-Pentax-K-500 I'm a little confused on a few things though. Like the 51,000 iso vs the 6000 iso. Do I need it that high to get good pictures of fish or any moving animal? If I understand iso correctly the higher that is the more grainy it becomes. I would think the focus points are more important. I'm very new to this so the internet has been my teacher.
Any insight I would really appreciate. I don't know anyone I can personally go to about this.
