dual 18" fixtures?

Does anyone make a dual bulb 18" florescent fixture that would fit on a 55gal all-glass aquarium?

can you use a single 48" strip that would cover the whole tank? i used one that replaced the 2 18" ones and works awesome.

True, I don't think it would be too hard to make a hood for that

do you have a pic of your current hood? you might be able to use the one you have. I had the standard plastic hood and the 48" one worked perfect for me....yours is probably different though

Yeah, mine is actually two hoods

if you have a pic post it up i bet its the same as mine. If it is all you have to do is pull the 2 lights off (assuming they are seperate from the hoods) and set the 48" light on

Youre set!!! all you need to do is ditch those and get 1 48" fixture! I got mine for 40 bucks (coralife with 1 T5 6700K bulb and 1 T5 full spectrum bulb)

Clean the acrylic under the lights and it will make a big difference too

nice! is the fixture a coralife? do i need to modify the lip on the two hoods that the two 18" fixtures sit on, or does the 48" just sit over them?

mine just went right over the lips and i cant see much light at all reflecting out. I just pulled the old ones off and put the new one on
and it is a coralife fixture
