I'm moving into an apartment/rental house soon and would like to condense the floor space my tanks take up. Is anyone familiar with certain brands or places to look for a decent iron stand?
I have seen pics online of ones that will hold two 55's, but can't find much info for anything bigger.

I will check around again, but the LFS's seem to have a limited variety.

Thanks for any input

The biggest dual stands I've seen are 55 gallon ones. Also, from my experience trying to keep 2 29s on the 30" version, I would recommend keeping a relatively short tank on the bottom tier, for example a 55 with a 40L under it. Or a 29 w/ a 20L under it. I kept 2 29s and the space was so tight above the bottom 29 that I couldn't even open the door of the hood all the way. Just something to think about...

build your own rack, all stands at lfs's wont hold two of the same tank, or if they do its a pain in the but to get into the lower tank
maybe try a 40 long or 40 breeder under the 75? if you have too

Yeah, if I had to have a stand like that, I'd make one. If you really wanted to, you could make one that could fit three 75s (have fun with those WCs lol)

Thanks 12v man, thats what i wanted to see. I will definitely look into that. More than likely there will be a snake in the bottom 75, so accessibility isn't a huge issue.

I have seen them. I will look around and see if I can find you a link or two.

I found them for sale in Atlanta & Chicago, but i guess that doesn't do you any good huh? I would suggest you just build one. Wood holds just as well and you can paint it black.

Aqeon makes a 75 gallon double stand. Its like $200 though. You might want to make one for 20 bucks or so.

Ack! I'd found a double 75 g stand online and thought I'd saved the link and can't find it now. It wasn't too expensive, like $130 but then there's shipping. I was going to get it and my husband said he'd build me one instead. Metal stands just don't seem solid to me, but I know a lot of poeple use them.
Try to google it. There's lots of companies that sell them.
Edit: Found it! It's at Dr FosterSmith.com for $120.00
