Im planning on setting up another tank and want to get some input on different drain applications.

Right now i have dual overflows (herbie style) the two siphon drains are tee'd to a single gate valve. It works great. No issues at all.

Thats said im considering setting up this new tank with a gate valve on each siphon drain just to play around and tinker with something different.

Anyone with dual overflows using seperate gate valves to maintain siphon please chime in with your input.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but I run shutoffs on my drains. I don't tinker with flow though. I use the dual drains as my main and the returns as emergencies. A run the true discharge over the back

Not shut offs but gate valves to maintain full siphon. Yeah i dont tinker with it either. Basically set and forget

Basically wanna hear if the guys that are using a gate valve dedicated to each siphon drain like the set up.
