Hey, might be lookin into a used around 2 Gs or less dual sport bike in the future. What am I looking for? Long mostly flat Mojave desert trail rides and then street stuff. WHere and what and how much? Also, are the late 80s and early 90s bikes ok? Dont only name those ones though. thanks home girls.

IMHO you might want to go with the Honda XR series bikes. The air cooled models that they've been making for years are bullet-proof. Just as long as you keep up with proper maintanence, ie: regular oil changes, valve ajustments. air-filter cleaning.
