Would like a stand that can hold 2-125's: 1-125 gallon on top of another 1-125 gallon fish tank.

Would also like another stand that can hold 4-75's: 2-75 gallons on top of another 2-75 gallons.

Any ideas, links, directions, suggestions???

I am a visual learner. Would love to see some detailed pics or video.

Thanks all.

Dual stands...

First- search out dual tank stands on this forum.

Second, determine the material for the build. I like metal, but I own a welder. 2x4's should be sufficient, figure 7-8 8' boards for a descent stand.

Design it, draw on paper or download and use Google's sketch up program, either way, no stand is built the same, throw out a design and let us critique it before cutting the material.

Just remember that the design needs to be strong, 'L' the corners with 2x4's and box frame the top and sides.

All I can do but to design and build one for ya.

thanks racersk. I have done step one a lot without much success. On step two now hence would like to see other dual stands.

Check out my dual tank stand. I have limited space where I live, so that's why I built it. Hopefully it helps. I'm going to start another one that will hold 3 tanks, stacked. The tanks will be about 30 gallons. I haven't designed it yet, but I have a blueprint in mind, just haven't put it to paper yet. If you want, I can start designing it and send you my sketch of what it will look like. It will give you an idea. I used to have on that holds two 125 gallon tanks, stacked.

I forgot to mention, if you build a dual stand for 125's, it would like similar to what I have on the pics. The only difference is that you would add another level to it. It's hard to explain how to do it without pics, but I know exactly how to do it.
