so the unexpected occurred... purchased two NTT thin bars last Friday and was perfectly fine. On Saturday i noticed puffy lips but did not think anything of it. Sunday, one of the thin bars mouth was noticeably huge and the second one was getting there. I knew it was a problem at this point
I took the fishes back to the fish store and they were willing to accept the fishes back in good faith since i'm a usual customer.
I'm not sure how much it affected the rest of the community. Everything looks normal and none of the other fishes has the problem. Water parameters all checked out to 0.
I did a 40% water change yesterday and another 40% this afternoon.
The fish store advised me to treat the tank. I'm afraid of using any medicine since i've never used it before. What do you guys recommend or have you guys had similar experiences with duck lips? i believe the scientific term for it is cotton mouth.
