Duct Aquarium-AWESOME

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thats awesome, not sure how the water stays in there but hope someone does, would love to do something like that in my daughters room.

Works just like a siphon overflow tube.

Basically same theory applies if you put a glass under water and the lift it out upside down. The water will stay in the glass.

the tubes a vacuum, similar to why a siphon stays primed.

that makes me think large water changes must be PITA, in that tank.

A better question would be how do you clean the algae out of the ducts?

that is probly a pain in the *** for water changes

u can probly open up the top panel with the same concept of a doggy feeder
doggy feeder doesnt work on the concept of a vacuum(or whatever the technical name for whats going on in the water), the friction and force of the food on the bottom keeps it in.

you open up the top both aquariums would overflow very badly

That is beyond awesome! Im working on drilling a 6" hole in the side panel of 2 tanks and connecting them with a tube, maybe 2 to 3 feet apart. I cant imagine the 10-12 ft that you have done!

My fish would probably just ignore the duct and make me feel like an idiot for doin all the work to set it up.
