the closest *looking* fish I've ever seen to a zebra plec at walmart is the striped raphael... which still look WAAAY different lol

dude if i had thown a fit my mom would beat me right there and not let me get any stuff for my 100 gal im setting up now
the walmart here in town gets a "special" fish a month here. they have had archers, aro's, puffers, scats. Zebra plecos would be amzing ot find at wally world cause they wouldnt know what they were sitting on!!! Get a good pic, and if they have them at a cheap , hell any price buyem!!*L*

that's what they stock regularly at my wal-mart as well
totally!!*L* i have gotten a few kewl fish from there, but as you say, they must go through the quarantine process before i let them anywhere near my community*S* i got silver scats for like 2 bucks a piece last year. and thats wher ei found those fan shrimp,**which are Oober neat** but how ...i dont know the word i want, ironic i guess, would it be if walmart of all places got a shipment of zebras*L*Even if they aren't Zebras (which we all know they aren't) any zebra look alike for 7 bucks is still a total steal and you should buy every one they have.

Unfortunately the chance of them being true zebras is slim to none. Zebra's are not available often from any major distributors, and cannot be imported. The primary source is breeders, and walmart wouldn't be able to sell them for $150, let alone $7. Striped raphael cats are the closest fish in look to a zebra that is still a cat, and runs that kind of price range. If not they may just be clown plecos. Common names are quite useless without a picture to verify.
