Where the Parachromis roam...
I dont know why i keep doing this,i have this guy who used to own his own fish store he went out of bussiness but still sell fish out of his house(sometimes he even delievers)well it seems like every other fish i get from him is sick.At 1st they all look healthy then they start "flicking"off of rocks and develop ich,i usually can save the fish(i have lost a few),but the problem is he can get some hard to find fish(around here). Not all his fish are sick though some are actually really healthy and thrive. My last couple of purchases have been fine, but my very last one (a grammode) is scratching and not eating,i have approached him before but he claims it must be my water because they were healthy when he had them,im stuck because he is the only one around here that can get me the kind of cichlids that i want(no other lfs's around here gets them)and i am sick and tired of spending $30.00 for shipping(wich usually costs more than the fish itself!!)I;m stuck!!

Sounds like you need to employ some pro-active measure while in quarantine. All wild caught fish likely have some form of pathogen or another. Its the stress that allows the bugs to get the better of them. Try some prazipro X while in quarantine for a preemptive strike.

I usually quarantine for a week, when the fish look ok i place them in my tanks, same water and everything in all my tanks ph,amonia etc,it just seems when they get with my other fish they get sick.I guess i will have to wait a week longer.

Yeah, the longer the better. Depending on temperature, ich's life cycle takes 12-16 days to complete, with the tomite phase being the phase susceptible to treatment.

Sounds to me like you need to start a fish store in Mass. :)

You might be better off to treat them with a general med while in quarantine. I know of lots of people that treat using a broad spectrum dosing to prevent infections and such.

Have you tried:
Uncle Neds - millis Ma,
Tropical Isle - framingham Ma,
Jay's aquatics - Salem NH

I know they will order anything you want,
