So i came home yesterday, to clean my tank and add some more rocks to my tank. I start moving the rocks and find that since that morning my otopharynx lithobates had got himself squished by a rock.....grrrrr. He was a cool looking fish and fun to watch.

I think we've all had this happen to fish. It really sucks when it happens to the fish you really like though.

I lost one of my favorite Lionfish this way. Was moving tanks and had a new configuration of LiveRock.. When I acclimated him, he swam deep behind some live rock that night and couldn't get out.. Had fungus the next day and didn't live through the next night..
After I lost him, I ended up selling all my Lionfish!

that sux but maybe try using some tank sealant to keep those rocks together shifting and falling rocks can break tank sides as well
crickey... i never had a problem with rocks, but i got a resin log for my tank... unfortunately i didn't think ahead and with my 6inch common plec... i woke up one morning and found that he had got stuck in it!! eventually he began to find it hard to breathe... so we decided we had to do something as he was going to die anyway... so we took the garden secatoors to him, got the log off... then when we put him back in he shot off and stuck to the filter, and refussed to move for like a day... lol... can't blame him. he's now a healthy 8inches, so he's ok... im kind of nervouse of getting rocks for my tank now...
