we just got the word at the Petco where i work that we have to switch all our feeder tanks in to one tri-Chanel tank. the tanks their in now are about 43 gallons but we have two big power filters on each and there is probably a hundred something fish in each one. the tri-Chanel we have to put them all in now is about 60 gallons with two longways dividers.
our feeders die at a rate of about 20 a day, so we are going to take the same amount of fish put them in half the amount of water and a third the filtration.

some one needs to smack the guy that came up with this plan.

i know they are just feeders but who wants to feed their fish sick fish?

Is this new system going to run a sump and a UV?

We have 4 tanks, all linked, total 180 gallons with sometimes 2000 fish and ammonia and nitrite are usually 0 and nitrate under 80ppm.

probly not, it would have to be separate form the main systom and i don't see the corprate putting money in to that.

The local petcos feeder tank is/has already been like that. I actually picked up some rosey reds there the other day because I was in a hurry.

I know of another place that has could hundred gallon rubbermaid pond for feeders though.

If it is the unit I think it is, it should have a sump, uv, and chiller on the unit. My local petco uses one of these tanks, as do the lfs.

we run that as well

Sorry missy, retail sucks, I know.

It has it's own seperate sump so it can be chilled and run its own drip system.
