Dumb question about krill????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my bass don't give it a chance to get moist...they hit it as soon as it touches the water.

So what? What do you want us to say? Bass, fish, animals, mammals, animals, all have preferences.

Haha you said do yourself

"sorry for the dumb question"

Funny thing is, youre constantly starting new threads, with imo, Stupid questions, and never responding back to them. Almost all your questions are answers that you can search yourself, or "common sense", or useless rambling.

4 threads (in the Cichla section) in 2 days? Lol

Just search a bit. That's all I'm saying.

I actually cut krill and soaked them so they sink for my juvi. Was silly but was a good idea at the time. Keep it simple and stick with pellets.

Every fish is unique in it's own way. I have many bass at the moment & numerous have come in small groups at different times. I have gotten different groups off live & used to a varied diet many different ways & adjusted to different foods including freeze dried krill & frozen krill. Texture is something different for a fish. I have used thawed frozen krill to help as a first step getting them off bloodworms & feeders because I figure the texture is similar the the feeders (plus I know the bloodworms are not satisfying their appetite any longer). Freeze dried krill I try next & massivore. I have some cichla that just won't take my freeze dried krill soaked in Vitachem while others will. I don't know if it is the taste or texture, but they spit it out. Others eat anything. Some take to pellets right away & some not... I have a 12" azul that just took it's first Massivore pellet last week! Watch each fish you have individually & figure them out... it's fun seeing the differences!

also having groups of cichla (more than 2 or 3) in my experience has helped in getting them to eat pellets and other foods besides live..Cause if one starts eating it it's instinctive for them to try to eat it before the others do no matter what it is.
