woke up to my 180 leaking bad, go and buy a cattle trough, rubbermaid 100 gallon, literally took all day, get home from taking friend home and my floor is yet again wet, It is leaking from the drain at the bottom. nothing big but i cant get the knob? to move either way. behind the knob it it has some white gunk over the threads. something I have seen on shower head to keep you from twisting. I dont know what to do..

you been having a bad spell of luck it seems... try home depot for a BIG tote prob 50 bucks or less

wont the tote bow, that is why I bought trough, lol you have no clue on luck. water pump went out when NC got snow, which led to the outside unit messing up, new tank stand produced a brown bug, we didnt see what is was so got an exterminator, it was a plus but it apprently it was nothing cause we havent seen anything since. THEN duke power wouldnt rasie my equal payment thing till they looked at meter. which this months power bill was 800, lol most of the time unless it is cold my powebill is 175.00 but my payment plan was 105.00 which pissed me off. lol been a rough month and this was the cherry on top

if its leaking from the drain go buy 10 bucks of plummers tape which is basically a life time supply and drain it and then add tape to the threads and then fill and there will be no more leaking.

yeah, and most those stock tanks you need a wrench to get the turn started on a plug. it's not a lil fingertip grabbing thang.

yay, gotta find a family member with a big wrench or rig it with tape, the story of a life
actually, you need both. wrench & tape.
empty trough. unplug & wrap w/tape, re-insert plug.
sorry :-/

sorry I got sidetracked ,,,did you get it fixed or a new tub?

I would get some teflon pipe dope (a thread sealing paste). Take out the drain plug and the bulkhead itself, then cover all the sealing surfaces with pipe dope and reassemble. It will lubricate the parts as well as help seal up any small imperfections in the plastic.
