Read that Angels get to 8 inches....

Is that fin to fin or body diameter?

Thats fin to fin, and they can even reach 12in fin ti fin....

SOme angels like the altum can reach like 12-15 horisontally and about 10-17 vertically... sumthin aorund those crazy lines...

Nice, what species? ALtum? LEts see some pics!

They are Koi, I think. White-ish body with black vertical stripes, with orange heads.

Pic a month or two old...

no i dont think those are koi angels, the koi variety usually has red on it...

Look in the angel fish section, the aqualand DEF wont have the best info , but they have the pics of your fish i bet. Live aquaria Im sure sells those, look them up in the angelfish cichlid part.

Altums can get to be 15" tall no problem. They are also very limited in the hobby. Many think they have the altums, but they are actually just scalares that have the head hump. THere is also a tall variety of scalare that can reach very tall sizes as well. I had a tall scalare male that when he was the size of a half dollar body wise, his fins stood 8" tall, his mate a silver scalare was only 6" and about 3" in diameter of the physical body.
