dursal stand pipe filters

i have a 100 gal bottom drilled tank with a dursal stand pipe has a black round sponge anyone know where i can buy new sponges ?

no lfs around that carry anything slimer to it even if i get a 4"x4" sponge i could make it work

I once set up a 65G RR tank and used a sponge prefilter on the durso. That was the closest I ever came to flooding the floor.

If you use a prefilter on the durso make sure you have an overflow to catch the rising tank level as the prefilter starts to clog.

I also second fox3 on ensuring you have an overflow as insurance for the flooding as your pre-filter clogs.
