I've had some thoughts about what to do with my fishtank. I wanted something new and decided to go for a dutch waters tank (its where I live).

It aren't really monsters yet. But I think its still fun to share some pics.
Its a 66 gallon tank.

A waterbug

This one is called a spined loach. Was very rare so I'm glad I have one. It hides in the sand most time of the day.

Scardinius with the red fins. They like to swim in schooling but are hard to catch with a umbrella net. I think I'll throw him back after the winter cause him being alone is a little sad.

I call this the scared-fish hideout. There are 5 or 6 breams under here. They hide all the time.

Stickleback perch. They are very funny and curious.

Here some pc fans that keep the temp. almost 2*C lower, its quit a lot and crucial during summer.

3 Warm white LED LEDS for the evening and mornings.

The pics are a month old. A couple of sticklers died and a view fish that stayed small got eaten by the perch. The stickler that was left isn't afraid but does get bitten a lot by the perch so I moved him out. The perch grow the most.
I think next year I keep only the perch, In a year or 5 I hope them to be like this haha:

Don't return the one fish. You should never let a fish that has been in a aquarium out into the wild. They may bring a new disease killing all the other fish

That's quite a collection you have there. I especially like that big piece of wood in there, gives the fish a nice hangout.
Doesn't your water bug ever try to get out on you?

Nice Perch and spined Loach......I dont think you should put the other fish back , unless its a private pond; but you could take out the Bream to put in another tank or private pond, and put some more Common Roaches (Rutilus, Rutilus) and I think that would be a very nice and colorfull native aquarium (yellows and reds would contrast nicely when they get bigger). The Bream just dont seem to be that exciting of fish.

Okay. They have had all kinds of diseases when I first had them. They are all cured now. But I get what you are saying. I guess I'll just have to find someone with a private pond and dump him there.
My tank is sealed for the airflow. The bug couldn't get out. But then the light broke and I had the tank open for a few days and it escaped.

That perch is huge. I have never seen a raccon perch/yellow perch/redfin perch what ever you wana call it that big around here. The ones we usally catch are about 7-8" or more like these guys.
