I know, it is another fish ID thread, but I am stumped on this one. Got it a couple weeks back, store didn't know what it was either. I am guessing it is a dwarf cichlid, but really not sure. Anyone know?? Sorry the pic sucks, it is a shy fish and likes hiding in my plants, if you need a better pic just say, I will try again to get a better one.

It is an appistogramma, but not sure what type. It dosn't look to be the cacatoo or borelli varieties which are somewhat common, but don't quote me on that. A better picture may help.

Thanks, I have looked them up and the body type is right, I just can't find any with the same coloring. Is there a lot of different variations of borelli's?

I know some places sell just "Assortade apistos"

Probably, this shop had nothing else like it, except for one or two more just like this one, I may go back and get them too if they are still there.

Definitely an Apisto, not quite sure about borelli though.

Apistogramma bitaeniata and Apistogramma sp. "Papagei/Parrot" are both quite similar, but both of these species have a thick black band down the body, which yours doesn't, and neither does the borelli which is something they have in common.

I'm not very knowledgeable about Apistos though so don't take my word for it.

I got an update on this one, I found out what it was exactly, and thanks for your help, it is a Apitogramma sp. "Steel Blue", I also found out they also call them "Steel Blue Borelli's". Thanks again for the help guys.
