i have two mated curviceps and had two triple reds but the male curvicep bullied my female triple red and made her hide all the time. i now cant find her so i assume the worst. iyo do you think other dwarfs like some form of acara or keyholes would make good dithers for them to spread the aggression out?

I could help out, or you may just end up with alot more hiding fish. I would you an active schooling fish instaed.

so what kind would you suggest?

ime non-cichlid dithers do almost nothing to help spread aggression... other cichlids work best

so would you agree with my idea of gettin keyholes or some acaras or somthing?

bump, possibly purchasing tomorrow so i need some help asap.

Curviceps may be dwarves but they are not lacking in the attitude department. My Laetacara have always been particularly rough with each other and tend to hold their own with other medium-sized cichlids. I keep mine with small Geos, keyholes, Krobia, and severums. I wouldn't put them with anything too small because they can and will bully other fish. I tried multiple times to keep L. dorsigera with rams and the rams almost always end up stressed or dead. :(

i agree, my male curv is definitely king of the tank, he bullys anyone and everyone. i would love to get some small geos but they would get to big for my dwarf tank and my other tanks are full at the minute. i think thats why they bullied my apistos though because of the size difference. i think i will try some acaras or keyholes. i will have to see which i like better.
