walked into my LFS today and saw an all black "dwarf" frogfish. it was about 2-3" and so awsome looking. so i was wondering if this is a true dwarf frogfish or will it get beast like the normal ones? If it is a dwarf could i keep it in a 20-35 gallon tank, since they dont really move anyway?

thanks in advanced

Depends on the species. I've never heard of a "dwarf" frogfish. Most frogfish grow to several inches, with a few reaching upwards of 12-15". It should be ok in a 20-35 gal tank, again depending on the species. Be careful of tank mates though. Frogfish can eat very large prey items while they can be pestered by many types of fish.

thats what i thought, well if i decided to get it it would be the only fish in the tank, maybe if i got a bigger tank like a 55 i would get maybe a dwarf lion fish but i duno.
anyway it was probably a regular frogfish, like i originally expected.

i've heard of dwar ffrogs before but they only get 2 IN and look more like clown gobies.
as long as he's under maybe 4-5 inches i say he's be good in a 30.
