I have had my dwarf gourami for 1 year now and have been experiencing some different health problems with him the last couple of months. This time he is bloated,not poohing,eyes popping and is hanging out on the top of the tank as to be left alone. I am not quite sure whether it is dropsypopeye or constipation. I feed my fish once a day a combination of blood worms or brine shrimp (alternating)with flake,and cichlid pellets (everyday). I had 2 danios that came down with dropsy a few months back and died. He seems eager to eat in the morning but seems to have difficulty getting it down (keeps spitting it back out until he is successful swallowing it). I fed him peas this morning thinking that constipation was the issue, but then I noticed his eyes were bulding. Hard to tell if his scales are protruding even looking down on him,although it looks as though some of them have fallen off. He does not look well at all!

P.H. at 6.8-7.0
Water perim.- as it should be
Water changes 5 gal. exchange every 2 days
Filter rotated once a month,rinsed with every water change
Gravel cleaning 1/4 sections every 1 or 2 weeks
Aquaria Family:
2 danios left of 6
2 peacock gobies
2 bolivian rams (M-F)
1 lokoundje krib
1 hillstream loach
5 dwarf neon rainbows (juvinile added today)
I had 2 female gouramis,but both died from bacterial infections
I hope this is enough info. so if anyone has any insite of his problem your answer would be greatly appreciated. No more gouramis after this! Thanx
