I hope to have something like this going on in my fish room in the next 2 years.. The 3 big tanks would be plumbed onto one central system (drip), all barebottom. The 180g has a 50g sump and would be the only tank to include a sand substrate.
The idea is to have smaller species of males, crossed with other smaller species of females. The female marble motoros are included due to their amazingly prolific nature, as that can increase the pup amount each year.. It will also create a hardy captive bred motoro type, that hopefully stays smaller and has an intense sporadic pattern.

I am a bit worried about keeping the males togethor, as my plan was to 'stud' them out to the females.. I wanted to test combinations, to study the results.. I think that just like livebearers and discus, selective breeding can be beneficial to the hobby if done properly.
What if I produced a marble motoro that stayed 12"

Okay now let's argue about hybridization
