Is there any type of oscar that stays small? Or do they all grow 10+ inches.
I'm just curious because i was only aware that any variation in oscar was just their coloring, and my friend mentioned having bought an oscar that he was told stays small? :screwy:?

I've never heard of a dwarf Oscar. If they existed, I would have about a dozen of them.

the ones i have seen labeled as dwarf are usually just babies. The only dwarf oscars are either short bodied or stunted. And I don't want either

well there are short-boddied oscars but no dwarf oscars, they all get 12"+

A close relative of the oscar, A.crassipinnis gets 9-10'' instead of 11-14'' however is thicker bodied. No idea where on Earth you would find one though, I've only seen them for sale once in my many years of fishkeeping.
