Regani, Irinidae, Wallacii...Those will be the most common, and relatively peaceful...They wont tiptoe through the tulips, but they wont kill each other if they are given enough space.
I've kept 6 rio tapajos regani in a 125, and they got along great. You can keep a pair in a 40 breeder, with angels and other dwarf cichlids and you'll be fine. Just give them great filtration and they'll do great.
Yep, and most members keep the c. regani, c. irinidae or c. wallacii...I have heard horror stories about the c. compressiceps killing each other en mass
None currently sadly, but I've kept several species before, usually in smaller tanks (75gal or 50/40 breeders). Comps are indeed mean little curs. The rest are fine in those size tanks, bigger is always better though.
I think most of the ones sold as sp. irinidae are actually sp. orinoco dwarfs .... the species below is what I first saw as listed as sp. irinidae dwarf, quite different than the species the vendors have had recently under the same listing.
he lives in my 65g planted tank with
steatocranus tinanti
maccullochi rainbow
yoma danio
hikari danio
empire gudgeon
and a long fin bristle nose..
probably some amano shirmp and mystery snails ..gets along great with everyone and cant wait to get my hands on more!!
