dwarf platy

Does anyone know if the dwarf platy and a regular platy will breed? I have 8 dwarf platys of which 2 are male. I have 2 female variatus platys and was wondering if they will breed. I don't want to buy a larger male platy if there is a chance it will breed with dwarf ones as I am worried about the size difference. Thanks

I would love to take her lol. So far, I have lots of pregnant fish, but few fry other then guppies. lol

hehe. When I got mama molly, thats what i named her even though she is not a mollie...but anyway, when i got her she was pregnant, she had her little babies, 8 of them. Then I moved the fry into a larger tank and she was pregnant again and had another batch. This time 5 of them. I also made the mistake thinking that I had separated all the males from the females. Mama mollie is pregnant right now again, any day i'm expecting to see more little dwarf platy fry lol.
